<p>Dear praying friends,</p>
<p>Please join us in praising God for these answers to prayer and pray for the needs:</p>
<p><strong>Praise:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Uncle Piet and Aunt Hester Marais were able to cross the border into Zimbabwe without any problems.  They had a thousand Shona Bibles, food aid, camping gear, etc.  Please continue to <strong>pray</strong> for them as they begin this year's Bible distribution ministry.  From Zimbabwe they will be traveling to the Caprivi Strip of Namibia, and then on to Zambia.</li>
<li>Kaitlyn had a really nasty tonsillitis, but God really touched her.  Praise the Lord.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Prayer:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Please continue to pray for Mrs. Mats'oanelo Majola.  She is still in the hospital and very sick.  When Glenn visited her on Wednesday, it seemed that she really is not improving. </li>
<li>Philip and Amrie Geise will be returning to the US next week for much needed rest and for Philip to continue his education.  Without some kind of an education degree, he cannot legally continue as the principle of the academy in Ladybrand.  Please pray for safe travel for them and that God will help them reorient to life in America.</li>
<li>Please do pray again for staff for the academy!</li>
<li>Pray for the Chinese Radio broadcast in Lesotho. </li>
<li>As you pray for the Marais', please pray for the "Bibles 4 the Nations" project as a whole.  This project which HIM spearheads will be distributing around 10,000 Bibles again this year.  Please pray for the availability of Bibles and finance and personnel to distribute them.  In many countries the Bible Societies are not able to effectively supply Bibles at a price people can afford.  Ask God to provide a solution to this difficult problem!  To read more about this, please see our blog at <a href="http://gaultsinlesotho.blogspot.com">http://gaultsinlesotho.blogspot.com </a></li>

<p>Please join us in renewed prayer for Mrs. Majola.  She is back in the hospital in critical condition, but is not getting the care she needs.  One doctor who saw her yesterday suspects that she may have meningitis.  Please pray for divine healing.  Also pray for wisdom for Rev. Majola to know what options to try to pursue to get better care for her.  She is at the best hospital in Lesotho, but corruption, a poor work ethic, and a lack of modern medicines are a hindrance.  </p>

<p>Thank you so much for your consistent, earnest prayers.  God is answering!</p>
<p><strong>Praise:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Mrs. Majola has been released from the hospital though she is still not very well.  We praise the Lord for some improvement in her condition!  Please continue to <strong>pray</strong> for complete healing.  Also pray for Rev. Majola.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Prayer:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Please continue praying for revival in Lesotho especially among the youth.  </li>
<li>Philip and Amrie Geise (HIM missionaries in Ladybrand, South Africa) will be returning to America for Philip to further his education so that he can legally serve as principal at the academy.  They will be leaving in May.  Please pray for them as they prepare to leave here and settle for a while in America.</li>
<li>Continue to intercede for staff for the academy.  We are trusting the Lord for His intervention in this urgent need.  At a recent board meeting we identified some leads to pursue.  Please pray for God's will to be done.</li>

<p>Thank you so much for your faithfulness in praying for us.  God has answered:</p>
<p><strong>Praise:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Thank you so much for praying for the tent meeting at Ha Tsautse.  The Holy Spirit worked as a result, and a number of people responded to the Gospel and were seeking the Lord.  This is wonderful news in a village that has been resistant to the Gospel in the past!</li>
<li>This past Saturday, I (Glenn) had an excellent opportunity to preach the Gospel at a funeral in a village not too far from where we live.  The funeral was held in a tent in the yard of the deceased.  As usual, many people sit outside in the yard just out of earshot of the church service waiting for the funeral meal to be served.  Just as it was time for the preaching, a rain shower moved through and almost all the people crowded into the shelter of the tent to escape the bad weather.  They listened very attentively as I spoke of the Second Coming.  The Holy Spirit was clearly at work in the hearts of people.  We praise the Lord for letting us take part in building His Kingdom in Lesotho!  Your prayers are an integral part in this effort!</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Prayer:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Please keep praying for teachers at Hope Christian Academy</strong> in Ladybrand, South Africa.  Our present staff are stretched so thin trying to cover all the bases that they cannot continue long-term.  We urgently need two qualified teachers and other support staff.  God has provided a monitor to help Mr. Jeremy Howard in the upper learning center at least short-term.  <strong>Praise</strong> the Lord for this!</li>
<li>Continue interceding for the youth of Lesotho.</li>
<li>The first Saturday of February, the church in Lesotho will be holding baptism services at two locations.  We are encouraged by the number of people who are ready for baptism.  Please pray for a special move of God's Spirit on these services!</li>
</ul>

<p>Please join us in prayer and praise for the following items.  We serve a great God!</p>
<p><strong>Praise:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>The final year of the Bible School got off to a good start this past weekend.  Praise the Lord for his help and for the faithful students.</li>
<li>Yesterday (Sunday) we had excellent attendance at the Matukeng congregation.  There were lots of children, and several young mothers who do not attend regularly were there.  Please <strong>pray</strong> that they would surrender completely to the Lord and begin attending regularly.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Prayer:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>A tent meeting is beginning tonight (Monday, the 9th of January) in the village of Ha Tsautse not far from the Ha Hlalele and Malimong congregations.  Please pray that people will be saved in this village that has a reputation of being resistant to the Gospel.</li>
<li>Keep interceding for the youth of Lesotho!</li>
<li>We are in the process of registering Hope International Missions in South Africa.  Please pray that God will give us wisdom for each step of this task.</li>
<li><strong>Please help us pray for teachers for the school in Ladybrand!</strong>  Some interim measures are being put in place, but they are not suitable for long-term.  Please help us pray in qualified, spiritual staff to fill three positions.</li>
</ul>

<p>Dear Praying Friends,</p>
<p>It's been a long time since we sent out a Lesotho Update.  One reason was some technical difficulties, but the biggest problem is just not making it a priority.  One of our goals for 2012 is to get back on track sending out these short prayer and praise e-mails.</p>
<p><strong>Praise:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> Pastor Majola and Mrs. Ts'oanelo's wedding went well.  It was a good opportunity to proclaim the Gospel, and some young men seemed to be touched by what they saw and heard.</li>
<li>Even though it was only one (long) service, the Christmas conference on Sunday was blessed by God's presence.  Pray for those who stayed after the message to seek the Lord.</li>
<li>We want to praise God for protecting us through the busy, dangerous Christmas season.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Prayer:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Please pray for the Chinese radio broadcast here in Lesotho.  Pray that the Holy Spirit would bring the Chinese-speaking people of Lesotho to salvation.  Also pray that God would help us as we build relationships with these people.</li>
<li>The young people of Lesotho <em>really</em> need your prayers.  We are encouraged by some, but sadly disapponted about some who are not doing well spiritually. </li>
<li>Pray for the Bible School students.  In January they will be beginning the final year of the course of study.  Please pray that they will be faithful in their studies and ministry.  Also pray for us teachers.</li>
</ul>

</p><p>We want to thank you so much for your faithful prayers even though we have not been so faithful in getting prayer requests and praise to you. These have been some of the most busy days of our lives!
</p><p>We want to praise the Lord for the ministry that Rachel Cutler is doing here in Lesotho. Her major focus is still learning Sesotho and getting adjusted to life here, but she is helping with the orphans and children's Sunday School classes at Mazenod most weekends. We also want to thank the Lord that her house is almost ready to move into. The kitchen cupboards are almost finished. The solar system needs another day of work, and we need to put curtains up.
</p><p>Please pray for Rev. Tsikane Pheko and his wife today and through the next few weeks. She is to have surgery today in Bloemfontein, South Africa. They really need our prayer support!

Dear Praying Friends <br>
Here is a prayer and praise update. Please help us pray in faith about these requests. <br><br>
<b>Praise:</b>
<ul>
<li>Rev. Majola, the president of the youth association in Lesotho reported a wonderful youth conference the first weekend of October. <b>Praise</b> the Lord for the spiritual victories that were won!</li>
<li>We received a news from the congregation at Popenyane recently. This congregation has gone through some very difficult times over the last year, but God is at work. Many young people have responded to the Gospel in the last few weeks, and the congregation has grown. God is worthy of our <b>praise!</b></li></ul>
<b>Prayer:</b>
<ul>
<li>Please <b>pray</b> much for Mrs. Tsikane Pheko. She will be going for a brain scan on November 6th. <b>Pray</b> that God will give her doctors wisdom.
<li>The church secretary in Lesotho sent me a list of evangelisitic campaigns and revivals scheduled for October and November. Please <b>pray</b> for these villages and meetings:<br>
1. October 29-31 Ha Hlalele<br>
2. November 12-14 Ha Mokhachane<br>
3. November 26-27 Popenyane<br></li>
<li>Please <b>pray</b> for us as we travel for deputation. In the next few weeks we'll be in Illinois, Indiana, Tennesse, Alabama, and Florida.</li>
<li>One of the goals of our deputation is to raise money for the Pastor's Assistance Fund that helps to plant new churches in Africa. Please join us in <b>praying</b> for people willing to give towards this fund on a monthly basis.</li></ul><br>
<i>Thank you so much for your faithful prayers. The harvest fields are white and ready for laborers. Prayer is a crucial part of harvesting. Never say that we can "only pray." Prayer is the most effective thing we can do!</i><br><br>

Dear Praying Friends,<br>

<b>Praise:</b><br>
<ul>
<li>We had a safe and mostly uneventful trip to America.  <b>Praise</b>
God for this and thank you for praying for us!  Right now we are
at Hobe Sound, FL at HIM's headquarters.</li>
<li><b>Praise</b> the Lord for profitable meetings in South Africa
and Lesotho while Mr. Howard was over for his annual visit.</li>
</ul>
<b>Prayer:</b><br>
<ul>
<li>Please <b>pray</b> for us as we begin deputation this coming
Sunday night at Fort Myers, FL (September 12th).  From there we
will be visiting my brother in Louisiana and spending just a few
days with both Stephanie and my parents in Kansas.  <br>
</li>
<li>Please begin <b>praying</b> for the annual youth conference
in Lesotho that will be held from the 1st to the 3rd of
October.  Brother Majola, the chairman of the youth committee
says "Really we want to see the hand of God in this conference
in terms of preachers, food, song leaders etc. We have a great
challenge of accommodation since the number of our youth are
increasing daily."  Remember these requests!</li>
<li><b>Pray</b> for the Bible School.  The work is going on and
our prayer is that the students will put what they learn into
practice in ministry.</li>
<li>Please <b>pray</b> for the Executive Committee, other church
committees, pastors, their families as well as the entire church
administration.</li>
</ul>
Thank you for your faithfulness!  God's kingdom is growing as a
result of your prayers!<br>
